I sit at home in my sweats and slippers with a chilled bottle of Martinelli’s waiting to be consumed. Waiting to cheer in the New Year. Waiting to yell out “Happy 2013″ like the rest of the world.

I am not a New Year’s Eve girl. I hate going out, hate being out on the roads, hate excessive crowds, hate excessive noise. Honestly, I enjoy a quiet evening at home watching the ball drop. That suits me just fine. That’s one way I’m uniquely me.

I’m sure I sound incredibly boring. The truth is, I guess in some ways I am but I’m ok with boring sometimes. I prefer knowing that I don’t have to be out on the roads on a crazy night like tonight. I can stay at home, in the warmth and comfort of home and be safe.

I hope whatever you are doing, you are having fun and you are staying safe. In whatever way you celebrate, make it uniquely you!
